I have been to dozens of whisk(e)y tastings, and this was easily one of the best I've ever been! Niki was an amazing host and flourished with her hospitality, warmth of welcome to the guests, and excelled in her whiskey knowledge. The space was perfect and embraced everyone with comfort and conversation. I would absolutely return as often as I can and I would recommend this to anyone ranging from general interest, novice, or advanced experience with whiskey. This is a true gem among Oakland, Airbnb, and Whiskey experiences.

The experience was amazing, and started with cocktails in Niki's backyard while we got to introduce ourselves. The experience had a ton of wonderful history of whiskey and the various types, and we got to taste so many kinds that were really great. I personally love love love Japanese whiskeys, and learned a ton about them as well as how to confidently read label's and tell folks more accurately what I enjoy in a whiskey. This was like having an incredibly kind, incredibly knowledgeable friend guide you along a journey, capped by a totally unexpected but fantastic speakeasy at the end where you get to try something truly spectacular, which for me was an excellent rice based Japanese whiskey. I highly recommend this experience!

Fun, interesting and yummy! Niki does a great job at taking you through the history of Whiskey. She is incredibly knowledgeable and in a fun environment will explain the difference between Bourbon, Rye and Scotch. As a wine aficionado, it was refreshing to learn the rules of labeling a whiskey bottle.. After the class she takes you into her speakeasy. As you enter the room, you immediately feel as is you have been transported to another place! What an incredible collection!! I highly recommend the class to anyone wanting to learn about whiskey or just looking for a fun evening out! Thank you Niki, I greatly enjoyed the evening.

We had such a great evening with Niki and the rest of her guests. Niki welcomed us with homemade cocktails and snacks, taught us history and fun facts about whisk(e)ys, and was very generous sharing her knowledge and collection. This was a really unique and completely unpretentious experience, which I loved. Thanks Niki!

This was such an incredible and unique experience!!! I highly, highly recommend it! Niki is super knowledgeable about whisk(e)y, and a great host. The first part of the experience is a tasting of a wide variety of types of whiskey. The direct comparison was really awesome, and Niki had answers to all of our questions. It was also awesome to get the context on women's involvement in making whiskey historically and in modern days. After the tasting we got to go to Niki's speakeasy. It was her personal collection of whiskey in really cool and unique space she built in her home. The people in the group were really fun to interact with and Niki did a great job keeping us on track while still maintaining a fun and friendly vibe. This is an experience you won't get anywhere else, it was so great!

Not only do I now know how to properly read a label, discuss flavor profiles, and have a better understanding about the history of whiskey and the important role women played — but I also met some amazing women, and of course tasted from Niki’s enviable collection of whiskies from around the world... If you love whiskey, y’all need to go to this! Also, men are welcomed to join, it's not just for women 🙂 Although, my class just happend to be all women...

Niki is extremely knowledgeable about all things whisk(e)y and will help elevate your tastes by incorporating known favorites and unique finds. This class is fun to take if you are an individual looking for a social night out, couples or team building for groups. I left the experience with my face hurting from laughter and a new shopping list of things to try that I would never had experienced if it was not for Niki's class.
