We will conduct the class in a private home and then move to the whiskey library where you will be surrounded by an enviable collection in a Gatbsy-like space.

You’ll learn about whiskey in a private Seattle speakeasy amid an enviable collection of spirits from around the world. Is it whisky or whiskey? I’ll teach you the differences and give you an overview of the various types of this famous beverage. You’ll learn how to read a label and we’ll discuss flavor profiles by age, finishes, adding water or ice, and more. The class will be approximately one and a half hours, depending on group size. It will include tasting notes for guests to note appearance, smell, and other comments. There’s also a participatory session on reading labels and price points. Don’t be fooled by marketing. All you need to know is on the label. Other topics of interest include the history of whiskey and women, how to create a tasting flight, barrel-aging cocktails, and other spirits, such as gin, tequila, and rum. Upon completion of the 90 min class, you will be my guest to taste what you’ve learned, compliments of your host. All are welcome! This is not a women only experience.
